We started simply with a decision to make some beats via our star beatmaker Tukara Moya aka beatsmith. The driver for this was that we had a bad first experience of the industry with a song we had poured our heart in to being leaked to a top SA artist and to our surprise our song and beat we had bought being on SA radio and the large male artists album.
As much as this was a horrible experience at the time its really been the driver in educating ourselves and controlling our music making process from the start and putting CTT Beats at the heart of the process.
We soon moved from beatmakers to a full in house production team and after the first few beats were circulated and the word was out in Cape Town that we were ready for Artists we have not looked back.
We having now expanded both the team and our activities in 2020 and are covering a wide range of areas and functions. We have released music under the “CTT Beats” artist name with collaborations in both the UK and South Africa.
In addition we have all of the services in this process from the beatmaking to the studio time to the mixing and mastering to the distribution all as available services to artists as external services.
We wish to collaborate with more and more artists in both Cape Town and the UK and make music on our beats with those we see potential and drive in. We hope to be the group that allows collaboration both with us and across the industry. Our parent company Cape Town Thing is a hub of activity and co-ordination of Artists and we are hoping to benefit further from their growth.
On the beat production and sale front we want to be the leading beat maker and beat collaborative leasing beats all around the world. We have started but there is still a long way to go on this journey and we want as many people with us as we achieve our aims.
We believe our exchange of service offering allows artists to work and use our services in exchange for their future time is industry leading and something that helps both ourselves and artists grow.
